Abnormal White Discharge (Leucorrhoea) – An Ayurvedic Perspective In Ayurveda, abnormal white discharge is referred to as Shweta Pradara. It is not merely a local disorder but a reflection of deeper imbalance in Doshas, primarily Kapha and Vata. When these doshas become aggravated due to poor digestion (Mandagni), excessive stress, unhygienic habits, or hormonal imbalance, they vitiate Rasa Dhatu (the primary plasma tissue) and Apana Vata (the downward-moving energy). This leads to excessive or abnormal vaginal discharge, often accompanied by weakness, backache, or itching.
